And while I will do my best to keep all cost outside of what you paid for the trip to a minimal, please have resources to pay for epic, last minute experiences without complaining of cost. This is how I travel and I created these excursions for people who enjoy traveling like I do. Sometimes random fun things come up and I just do them and I'd LOVE to do them with you! I will of course do them reasonably.

While this trip is designed to be an unforgettable New Year's Eve adventure in Rio, it’s important to make sure it’s the right fit for you. This experience is not for:

❌ The Super Budget-Conscious Traveler – If you’re looking for the absolute cheapest way to travel and constantly questioning every cost, this may not be the trip for you. We prioritize quality, fun, and convenience, but it’s not a backpacker-style budget trip.

❌ The Non-Adventurous or Unwilling to Try New Things – If you prefer staying in your comfort zone, don’t enjoy exploring, or aren’t open to experiencing local culture, spontaneous fun, and thrilling activities, this trip might not be for you.

❌ The Inflexible Traveler – Things happen. Sometimes schedules shift due to weather, local events, or logistical reasons beyond my control. If you have a hard time adjusting when plans change, this trip won’t be the right fit.

❌ Someone Expecting a Luxury Experience – While we will be comfortable and have an amazing time, this is not a 5-star luxury trip with personal butlers and Michelin-star dining. Expect an energetic, immersive, and fun adventure with great people, not a luxury retreat.

❌ If you are a Leisure Traveler - This trip is designed for active travelers who enjoy exploring on foot, participating in exciting excursions, and embracing adventure. While you don’t need to be an athlete, expect moderate physical activity such as walking, hiking, or extended periods on your feet. If you prefer a more leisurely travel experience, this may not be the best fit.

Please know that the itinerary is subject to change based on weather or any circumstances out of our control. 

Please note: IT IS NOT UNCOMMON FOR IT TO RAIN IN RIO DURING THIS TIME! These are bursts of rain mostly, not a continuous heavy rain. See next section about weather in Rio for more info.

That said, have the expectation that some things are just out of our control and be understanding! Being flexible when you travel is a MUST! 

Activities may be moved to different days based on the schedule we feel best suits the group but will not take away from the experience of the celebration at all.

Rio de Janeiro Weather During New Year's Eve (December – January)

☀️ Warm & Tropical: Expect summer weather since December–January is peak summer in Brazil.

🌡️ Average Temperatures:

• Daytime: 80–90°F (27–32°C)
• Nighttime: 70–75°F (21–24°C)

🌦️ Humidity & Rain:

• Humid and warm with a chance of quick tropical showers, but they usually pass quickly.
• Expect sunshine during the day with some clouds and occasional rain in the evenings.

🌊 Beach & Ocean Conditions:

• Warm water (~78°F / 26°C), perfect for swimming.
• Great beach weather, but beaches will be crowded for NYE celebrations.

🔥 What This Means for NYE:

• Dress light & breezy (think summer clothes, breathable fabrics).
• Pack sunscreen & sunglasses for daytime exploring.
• Be ready for some humidity—but it makes the party vibes even more electric! 🎉

Keep in mind that you are attending one of the busiest seasons in Rio so prices for everything can be higher. Although pricier, it is well worth it for the experience.

I searched prices of several competitors and they are easily charging $500 to $1000 more than my trip. I’ve been to Rio during another busy season, Carnival, so I'll already know what to expect for us.

Once we start paying vendors abroad we can’t get those funds back. The laws in most other countries are not like the United States and even in America, certain purchases are non-refundable when it comes to travel or even something as simple as a concert.

Travel insurance is STRONGLY recommended to cover yourself in case you can not make the trip for any reason and to get your money back. We will refer you to the best travel insurance company with a "cancel for any reason" policy. This information will come in a follow-up email once the deposit has been made.

We are a little different from your typical travel company. The founder, Candace Blair, is an adventure lover so she creates her trips to include once in a lifetime excursions for those that like to live on the wild side and try things they’ve never done before. She actually goes to the destinations before hand, sees everything in person, does all the excursions, eats all the food and adds, or removes, things from the itinerary that she feels you will or won't like. It is a very customized experience!

Most travel clubs, rightfully and understandably, play it safer when creating group trips and stick to the more touristy experiences. While there will always be some must do activities everywhere you go, stepping outside your comfort zone will always be an option with Candace. She likes to go where the locals go and do what the locals do! This may sometimes take you a couple hours away from the main city but it's always going to be worth it!

We prefer to go off the beaten path and add a little more adrenaline to the trip in some way while still getting the full experience of every country we travel to.

We are also a smaller travel club that gives a more intimate setting and allows for less overhead fees on most trips so that we can offer a more competitive rate for the same experiences around the world as our larger counterparts.

I’ll take it easy your first full day since you may still be tired from travel BUT, there will be some thrill this day!! 

• Morning: Take a scenic cable car ride to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain for panoramic views of Rio.

• Afternoon: Relax at Ipanema Beach and sample local street food.

• Evening: Samba and dinner at the iconic Rio Scenarium, a lively spot for music and dancing.

Note: Dinner is at your leisure but there will be a group reservation if you’d like to join us. You would still pay out of pocket for dinner. If there's a local hotspot you want to go to, on your own, Uber is easy to setup and is cheap!

•Morning: Visit the world-famous Christ the Redeemer and explore the lush Tijuca National Park.

• Afternoon: Stroll through the vibrant Santa Teresa neighborhood and capture memories at the Selarón Steps.

• Evening: Enjoy dinner with a view at Xian Rio, overlooking Guanabara Bay.

Note: Dinner is at your leisure but there will be a group reservation if you’d like to join us. You would still pay out of pocket for dinner. If there's a local hotspot you want to go to, on your own, Uber is easy to setup and is cheap!

•Activity: A free day to explore Rio at your own pace. Choose to relax by the beach or take an optional Favela Tour to learn about local culture.

• Evening: Dinner at a local seafood restaurant, such as Satyricon at your own expense.

• Daytime: Morning free for shopping or relaxing at the hotel.

• Evening: VIP New Year’s Eve Celebration:
